PUGLIESE ASSOCIATES WELCOMES SCOTT BISHOP
Pugliese Associates is happy to announce that Scott Bishop will be joining the firm as a Lobbyist on December 1, 2020. Scott’s time as a Government Staffer and Lobbyist spans five governors and 12 sessions of the Pennsylvania General Assembly. Most recently, Scott was a Senior Vice President for the Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP) where he was Chief Lobbyist for Pennsylvania’s hospital community.
For nearly two decades, Scott’s primary focus has been working to shape Pennsylvania’s state budget. Throughout his career, Scott has also worked closely with the state’s most significant construction, manufacturing, small business, health care, insurance, tourism, and not-for-profit voices on a wide array of legislative priorities. In addition, he has extensive experience working with trade associations, and he is skilled at building coalitions to achieve important policy goals.
Prior to his work as a Lobbyist, Scott was an effective state agency and Legislative Staffer. He worked for the House Appropriations Committee where he concentrated on key public safety matters. As part of the Department of Education’s policy team, he helped lay the groundwork for landmark workforce development legislation.
Scott holds a Master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh, and a BA degree from Dickinson College.
